** Attention Please:
Why The Limit of Two Quilts Plus Challenges
————————————————————
We firmly believe that every registered quilt needs to be displayed. Here’s the truth, last year we struggled to display all the registered quilts. We did it, but we also utilized a space that will be used this year for our amazing local featured quilter: Jessica Rennaker. That’s the reason we are limiting each participant to 2 quilts (any size) plus the two challenges (featured fabric 12.5 inch block, and Americana small quilt). If you register it, we want to be able to display it! Questions, feel free to ask!
** Let’s go over some details to help you register quickly and easily.
————————————————————
* You may register TWO quilts plus the Americana challenge quilt and the block challenge. The 2 quilts may be any size.
* You will need to know the measurement of the perimeter of your quilt. The perimeter is the size of all 4 sides, or the diameter if it is a round work. Works under 180 inches are SMALL quilts. Works from 181-280 inches are MEDIUM quilts. Works over 280 inches are LARGE quilts.
* Quilts will be hung on WWVQF racks. Framed or other specially prepared quilts cannot be accepted. The committee reserves the right to display some quilts on smaller quilt racks.
* Quilts must be at least 3 layers: top, batting, backing; with something i.e. machine or hand quilting which holds the layers together. The exception is the block challenge.
* All works will need a cloth label on the back of the quilt with, at a minimum the maker’s full name, city, state, and title of the entry. To place the label: When looking at the front of the quilt find the bottom right corner. Turn that corner over and put the label there. For the block challenge a piece of paper with this information pinned to the back of the block is acceptable.
To register online go to: https://wallawallaquiltfestival.org/registration/ (https://wallawallaquiltfestival.org/registration/) If you are entering multiple items, you will complete the form multiple times. One form submission for each item. Immediately after submitting the form you should receive an email to the email address you entered. Check Junk and Spam if you don’t see it right away.
If you encounter challenges, contact Kay via info@wallawallaquiltfestival.org
If online registration is not your thing – there are paper options. Festival board members will have paper registration forms that you can fill out and hand deliver to a board member, or you can mail it in. Or download the paper form at: https://wallawallaquiltfestival.org/print-and-mail-registration-form/
All registrations, online or by mail, have to be received by Sept. 1, 2026 at midnight.
