Hello Visitor,

With the weather the way its been, I’m not sure what season I’m in, 2 weeks ago I was cold and now I’m hot. Maybe summer is actually here.  What I do know is the 2022 Quilt show is just around the corner!  So here is some information regarding the show for you all.

Quilt Show Dates

The biggest change is that the show will only be Friday September 16th & Saturday the 17th, 2022 from 10 am to 5 pm each day.  Admission is $8.00 and is good for both days.  You can register your quilt entry’s now, electronically or thru the mail, as always the deadline is midnight September 1st.  Don’t forget you can enter up to 3 quilts plus the Block Challenge (fabric available from Judith Hedburg-Duff) & the 2022 Challenge “Masquerade”. We will once again award prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd for the 2022 Challenge.  There will be hourly demonstrations, the vendors to check out and shop, the Silent auction quilt & many beautiful quilts to admire!

2022 Featured Quilter

Our Featured Quilter will be Heather Black of Quiltachusetts - modern quilt designer, maker and pattern writer. You can check out her website www.quiltachusetts.com, plus follow her on Instagram or her blog.  You’ll be able to visit with Heather and check out her beautiful quilts each day PLUS she will be giving a lecture each day.

I’m sure that there is more info to share with you, but I want to get this out.  We’ll be sending another newsletter out towards the end of July.  If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask a Festival member or you can text or call me.  Don’t forget to register your quilt entries.

Cancellation of 2021 Festival

Hello Quilt Festival Supporter,

Yesterday the festival committee met and discussed the recent covid trends and decided that it’s best for all involved to cancel the festival. We know the disappointment of not having the show, but more important is the safety and the wellbeing of all. It is not an easy decision to make, while we love to share all your beautiful quilts, we just couldn’t justify the risk that the show would bring to those attending and working at the event.

Keep quilting and creating. Plan for September 2022. We are already planning for it and will continue to work hard for the show.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email us.
