Walla Walla Valley Quilt Festival, P. O. Box 1471, Walla Walla, WA 99362
August 16, 2016
This edition of the newsletter is intended to give you an update on what's happening with the electronic portion of our Festival. I am so pleased to report that the new website is alive and well. There is still work to be done to enhance the visual part and other little fine tuning items that will happen over the next few weeks.
The great news is that the Registration Form is up and running and available for your registrations. When you have successfully input your registration, you will receive an electronic copy of your input back. And I will get what is needed to complete the information we need to hang, label, and provide a receipt for your quilts.
Please do not hesitate to contact me at the email address, firstname.lastname@example.org, or give me a call at 541-938-6130 if you have questions, or run into a problem.
There are two more things you need to remember:
Midnight, September 1, 2016 is the deadline for quilt registrations, both electronic and those processed through the Post Office.
Your quilt should be delivered to the Green House Building (I call it the Floral Building) at the Fairgrounds from 10am to 3pm on September 10, or September 11, 2016.
We have a great lineup of vendors available for your shopping pleasure, as well as hourly demonstrations. You will be able to visit with our fabulous featured quilters, Diane Nagle from Henderson, NV, and Wendy Rohde from Pendleton.
It will be a very special weekend. The admission fee is a one time charge of $6.00.
Quilt show hours and dates
September 18, 19, 20, 10 AM to 5 PM
Walla Walla County Fairgrounds
360 Orchard Street

Tips & Tricks:
I'm just going to direct you to a gold mine of tips and tricks. Many of you may already be aware, but for the rest, here goes!
I have found that the website "Pinterest.com" is addictive! But, did you know that if you search for "Quilting Tips" that it will open a wealth of information of all sorts of topics! Try it - you too can be addicted with me!
And if you have a specific thing you are looking for, such as how to construct a particular quilt or block, or look for instruction on a "how to", YouTube.com is a wonderful resource. Again, in the search line just type in what you are looking for. Chances are it will be there.
That's all for now:
We on the Festival Committee are looking forward to seeing you all, and we are hoping that you will bring a "first timer" with you. You are the reason that we are able to continue to do this. Your support is very much appreciated.
See you soon!
